It leaders – representation of data

Part 1:

Research Three IT Leaders

In this competency, you have studied traits, behaviors, actions, interpersonal skills, communication tactics, relationships, and values of leaders. As you become a leader in the IT world, it is important to recognize those leadership qualities that you want to emulate in your career. Vision boards are often used to assist in focusing on career and life goals. In this assignment, you will create a leadership vision board in which you summarize three leaders who serve as examples of the leader you want to be.

  • Select 3 leaders in the IT world who have had a positive      effect on their company. These leaders do not need to be from big      companies, but they should be attached to IT projects.

Vision Board Creation

Develop a leadership vision board using any program or website that allows you to design posters or a hard copy vision board and take pictures of it, including close-up photos to show details. Address the following for each leader in your vision board:

  • List their name, company, and      role at the company.
  • Define their top three      leadership traits or behaviors.
  • How have these traits or      behaviors affected the company or project?
  • Define a prominent      communication tactic used by this person.
  • How has this person’s      leadership led to innovation or change management?
  • What is one piece of advice you      would like to remember from this person’s experience?
  • Include images, as      appropriate.

Format your citations per APA guidelines.

Note: You will be graded on the content and not the design aspect of this assignment. However, a clear design will assist in conveying the information, as well as provide a good resource for future assignments.

Part 2:

Representation of Data

As an IT project manager for Intuit, Inc., you are responsible for leading IT projects that affect the entire company. You are in consideration for the project manager role for the new cloud-based applications project that your group is running. One of the tasks management would like to see before promoting someone to this position is the ability to effectively communicate with the c-suite through a visual presentation. They would like you to review the company’s reports and demonstrate your ability to analyze and present project data.

  • Navigate to Business Insights:      Essentials, via the University Library
  • Search for “Intuit Inc.,” and      select Market Share Reports.
  • Select 2 of the reports (Attached to the question) and create 2      visuals (one for each report) that represent the information provided. For      example, you could select the Tax Preparation Services Market report and      use a pie chart to represent the market share.

Write a 2-page justification summary in which you answer the following questions:

  • What type of visual did you      select to present the information in each report?
  • How does the type of visual you      selected support the information?
  • What tool(s) did you use to      create these visuals?
  • How will these visuals be      presented to the c-suite (e.g., email, presentation)? Why did you select      this method?

Note: You may use any software or websites such as Lucidchart, Canva, MindTools, and so on to create the visuals.

Format your citations per APA guidelines.

Submit both your visuals and your justification summary.
