Assessment Task 3: Time Constrained Case Study Analysis (30%) A case study will be provided for students at the beginning of the exam period. (Wednesday 15th June 2016). The case study will be posted on Moodle with a forum post notifying all enrolled students. The case study is time constrained because it has to be completed and submitted within one week (7 calendar days). The purpose of the case study is to provide an opportunity for the student to demonstrate an understanding of the subject and the achievement of the objectives of the course. Case Study Topic: Organisational Change Case Study Availability: Monday 13th June 2016 (via Moodle) Case Study Due Date: The Case Study is time constrained and must be completed within seven (7) working days. It must be submitted on Monday 20th June 2016 at 11.55pm (via Moodle) email submissions will NOT be accepted Late submissions and/or extensions will NOT be accepted unless accompanied by an approved Special Consideration Application. Expectations: There are four (4) questions. Students are expected to answer ALL questions The Case Study Analysis should include an Introduction and a conclusion as well as a reference list. Questions should be answered in separate paragraphs ie: Introduction Question 1 Question 2 Question 3 Question 4 Conclusion Reference List Word limit (Approximately 2,000 words) Format (Arial 11 pt, 1.5 line spacing) Wider Reading and References: Students are expected to access material from the textbook and demonstrate limited wider reading. In addition to the textbook, two to three scholarly references are required to complete the case study analysis. In-text citations and the reference list should be formatted using the APA style. While the Case Study covers a wide variety of themes that have been covered in the course, general revision should focus on: Nature of Planned Change Managing and Motivating Change The Role of the Organisational Development Practitioner Strategic Change Interventions (transformational, continuous, transorganisational) A good answer will include discussion and analysis of the question using the tools, techniques and theories that have been covered during the semester rather than simply retelling the story of the Case Study.
